A Mango Mojito is a delicious, light variation on the traditional mojito. This cool rum drink with fresh mint, lime juice, and fizzy club soda will transport you to the tropics.
A mojito is a classic Cuban cocktail that is produced by muddled fresh lime and mint, then topped with rum, club soda, and seltzer water or club soda. We're including mango nectar in this version with mango. Mangoes are a native of Cuba, just as mint, limes, and rum. Thus, this delightful mango mojito is just natural.
Mango only has to be in a cocktail because it's a favorite fruit of many people, including me (try my Mango Coconut Ice Cream or Turkey Tacos with Mango Salsa).

RECIPE
Ingredients
- 10 mint leaves plus more for garnish
- ½ lime juice of
- ice
- ½ cup mango nectar
- 3 ounces white rum
- 3 ounces club soda
Instructions
- Add the mint and lime juice to the cocktail glass and muddle to bruise the leaves, releasing their flavor.
- Add ice, then mango nectar and rum. Top up with club soda
- Stir, garnish with a lime slice and mint leaves. Serve immediately.
Notes
- If you have ripe mangos and prefer to use fresh mango, make a mango puree using a food processor or blender. Use the mango puree instead of the mango nectar. (This works with frozen mango too).
- If you are using fresh mango, garnish with mango chunks.
- A traditional mojito usually includes sugar in the ingredients. For this mango mojito, the sweetness of the mango nectar makes it unnecessary to add sugar. However, if you use fresh mango, frozen mango, or mango juice, the drink may not be sweet enough for you. Sugar is added in the muddling stage, usually a couple of teaspoons. There is no need to make a simple syrup. Don't use brown sugar because the molasses flavor will change the mojito.
- You can also use honey or agave syrup to add extra sweetness.
- You can make a pitcher of mango mojitos. Use the "Servings" button at the top of the recipe card to change to the number of drinks that you want to make. This will give you the quantity of ingredients to use. You can make the whole recipe in a pitcher. If you aren't serving right away, save the club soda step until you are.
