MANGO MOJITO RECIPE

A Mango Mojito is a delicious, light variation on the traditional mojito. This cool rum drink with fresh mint, lime juice, and fizzy club soda will transport you to the tropics.

cheers!

A mojito is a classic Cuban cocktail that is produced by muddled fresh lime and mint, then topped with rum, club soda, and seltzer water or club soda. We're including mango nectar in this version with mango. Mangoes are a native of Cuba, just as mint, limes, and rum. Thus, this delightful mango mojito is just natural.

Mango only has to be in a cocktail because it's a favorite fruit of many people, including me (try my Mango Coconut Ice Cream or Turkey Tacos with Mango Salsa).

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS COCKTAIL

On a hot day, this chilled cocktail is the ideal beverage to quench your thirst.
Without a cocktail shaker, you may create this mango cocktail directly in the serving glass.
To serve a bigger gathering, you may just brew a pitcher of this delectable cocktail. (See how in the recipe card and the section below titled "Helpful Tips").

      INGREDIENT NOTES

Mint Make use of new mint leaves. There are numerous types of mint. Spearmint is the kind that is most frequently seen in supermarket stores. Use a different type, though, if you have one in your garden. Make that the leaves are not wilted and are fresh and bright green.
Citrus Juice It's crucial to use fresh lime juice. Each drink will require the juice of half a lime, plus additional for garnish. Instead of lemon juice, lime juice is always used to make the traditional drink.

Mango Juice Mango nectar has been sweetened already. Mango juice is acceptable, however you might want to sweeten the beverage.
Black Rum White rum, often known as light rum or silver rum, is the only type of rum used to make mojitos. Use only light rum; never use dark rum or spiced rum. White rum's more subdued flavour makes the flavour of mango, fresh mint, and lime stand out.
cola club To add effervescence to drinks, club soda is frequently used, but seltzer water or soda water can also be used.

      The Ingredients

      HERE'S HOW TO MAKE IT

Place mint leaves in the glass's bottom.
Add lime juice and gently stir the leaves, just enough to bruise them.
Ice cubes should be put in the glass.
Add rum and mango nectar. Add club soda as a topping.
Enjoy after stirring and adding lime and mint garnishes.

      HELPFUL TIPS

Make a mango puree in a food processor or blender if you have ripe mangos and would rather use fresh mango. Instead of using mango nectar, use mango purée. (This also functions with frozen mango).
Mango pieces should be used as a garnish if the mango is fresh.
Traditionally, sugar is one of the ingredients in a mojito. The delicious mango nectar in this mango mojito eliminates the need for additional sugar. However, the beverage might not be sweet enough for you if you use fresh mango, frozen mango, or mango juice. During the muddling process, sugar is added; often a couple of teaspoons. No simple syrup needs to be made. Use white sugar only; dark sugar will alter the flavor of the mojito.

For added sweetness, you can also use honey or agave syrup.
A pitcher of mango mojitos is possible. For the quantity of beverages you want to make, use the "Servings" option at the top of the recipe card. You'll know how much of each component to use from this. The entire dish can be prepared in a pitcher. Save the club soda step until you are ready to serve if you won't be doing so right away.

      SERVING SUGGESTIONS

This entertaining cocktail is the ideal beverage to sip while eating salads and barbecuing over the summer. It pairs particularly well with hot dishes like grilled jerk chicken drumsticks and jerk chicken salad. Additionally, it goes well with shellfish. We adore serving it with lemon garlic prawns or grilled prawn salad. You will enjoy eating the grilled sesame shishito peppers as an appetiser while sipping this cool beverage.

      RECIPE

      Ingredients

      • 10 mint leaves plus more for garnish
      • ½ lime juice of
      • ice
      • ½ cup mango nectar
      • 3 ounces white rum
      • 3 ounces club soda

      Instructions

      • Add the mint and lime juice to the cocktail glass and muddle to bruise the leaves, releasing their flavor.
      • Add ice, then mango nectar and rum. Top up with club soda
      • Stir, garnish with a lime slice and mint leaves. Serve immediately.

        Notes

        • If you have ripe mangos and prefer to use fresh mango, make a mango puree using a food processor or blender. Use the mango puree instead of the mango nectar. (This works with frozen mango too).
        • If you are using fresh mango, garnish with mango chunks.
        • A traditional mojito usually includes sugar in the ingredients. For this mango mojito, the sweetness of the mango nectar makes it unnecessary to add sugar. However, if you use fresh mango, frozen mango, or mango juice, the drink may not be sweet enough for you. Sugar is added in the muddling stage, usually a couple of teaspoons. There is no need to make a simple syrup. Don't use brown sugar because the molasses flavor will change the mojito.
        • You can also use honey or agave syrup to add extra sweetness.
        • You can make a pitcher of mango mojitos. Use the "Servings" button at the top of the recipe card to change to the number of drinks that you want to make. This will give you the quantity of ingredients to use. You can make the whole recipe in a pitcher. If you aren't serving right away, save the club soda step until you are.
